Going to London?

So as you would have noticed I had a fabulous trip to England. So now I thought I would leave you with some must trys/visits when you visit the big and bustling city of London. I was not there long and did not get do alot of things I wanted, but all in good time, this will not be my last trip to London after all. So here ya go, some places in London that are simply a must!

1. Admiral Codrington - Recommended by the popular blog "This is London" I decided to give this place a try as 1. they apparently had the best burgers in the whole of London and 2. it was walking distance from our flat in Knightsbridge. When we finally arrived (thanks to google maps on iPhone) we were a bit taken back as it looked sort of like an old frumpy pub in the middle of nowhere. On walking around to find a table I discovered the dining room. It had an open roof top, vintage looking furniture and was, simply put, perfect. We luckily got seats for the five of us and it was cheese burgers and red wine all around. These burgers in my opinion were not only the best in London, but the best i have ever eaten. Yes they compete and outrank Shake Shack in New York! They were flawlessly cooked, tender and ozzing with juices (what a burger is supposed to be like but better). The home cooked fries were crisp on the outside yet soft in the centre and flawlessly seasoned! I definitely recommend if heading over the pond try this place, {located its located on 17 Mossop Street london, SW3 2LY} but make sure to make reservations cause you may not get as lucky as us.

2. Pizzeria at Harrod's (and Harrod's itself)  - There is no department store in the world that comes close to Harrods and you must make at least one visit here... even if it is only to window shop. Full of high fashion designers and sparkly merchandise your eyes dazzle in delight. My sister along with many others recommend the pizzeria for lunch and I was not going to pass it up. To get to the pizzeria you have to walk through the rest of the food hall and it is literally to die for..the highest quality of food items presented to perfection. There is usually always a line but it is worth the wait. Once i was seated i ordered an organic sicilian lemonade and the classic Margarita Pizza. Now this pizza is the real thing. They import all the highest quality ingredients from Italy and you can taste it - all the flavours marry superbly as the crust melts in your mouth.

3. Daylesford (in Selfridges) - Now its nothing compared to the Daylesford farm located in Gloucestershire but not much places you can get organic, high quality, fresh produce in the heart of London. So chicly packaged you do not even want to open the products!

4. Borough Market - We all know markets are a must when I travel. Bustling and chaotic it could not have been more up my ally, not to mention all the great photo opps. Vendors screaming, offering free samples you can leave Borough market with a full stomach! From Pimms, to Paella, to pulled pork i was in food heaven...and trust me you will be too!

5. Buildings of Parliament & Big Ben - Humbling as they come, a trip to London is not complete with out visiting these landmarks. I know they are no secret and everyone tells you "go go go" but there is a reason...so go go go. Its a bit touristy but you are a tourist after all.

 

6. Covent Garden - Full of shops, restaurants, bars, and tea houses Convent garden was one of my favorite walk around, have a drink,  people watch places in London. It is such a cozy and charming area, so much so I went back 3 times and that says something!
